Summary/Abstract: One of the existing files in the Central Historical National Archives that was published abroad is recorded under the number 31/1987 and contains, among others, the leaders’ speeches of the Warsaw Treaty Organization member states who had a meeting at Berlin, on the Political Consultative Committee (May 28-29, 1987). As these documents necessitate a large printing space, in this study we will confine to explain the context in which the meeting of the Political Consultative Committee took place at Berlin
