Summary/Abstract: Through this study we want to bring some information on the relationship between Church and community in the Câmpeni Orthodox Protopopiate in the middle of the 20th century. We learn that every priest was very involved in helping the people in his community. We must mention that the priests were an example that the inhabitants followed in all the actions that had to be carried out. The priests were in charge of organizing the processing of agricultural land, helping to build new cultural homes and especially schools. They also helped repair roads and bridges destroyed by heavy rains. Priests initiatives were supported by the population, establishing good communication relations between the Church and the community.
