Summary/Abstract: On 24th of February 2022, the lives of Ukrainians changed drastically. The causewas the „special military operation” launched by Russia. According to PresidentPutin, this military operation was necessary because the Russian minority waspersecuted by the Ukrainian government.In fact, this totally untrue reason was only an excuse for the war that was juststarting. Putin’s so-called reason was hiding Russia’s intention of conquering someUkrainian territories and another lesser-known intention was to gain access toUkraine’s natural resources. Ukraine is a rich country because it has abundantreserves of iron, titanium and coal; as for gas reserves, Ukraine occupies the secondplace in Europe after Russia.Since February 2022, the aggressions and invasions in Ukraine were brutal andthey are still continuing. After almost 10 months of continuous bombardment andinvasions from the Russian troops, the war continues. With the help of European andAmerican allies, Ukraine has succeeded in creating a strong counter-offensive thatdestroyed big parts of the Russian army. Nevertheless, the Russian aggressionscontinue and the patriotism of the Ukrainians should serve as a model for everyone.
