Summary/Abstract: An article devoted to the Jesuit - Priest Mieczysław Józef Kuznowicz. He was born on January 15, 1874 in Licheń near Konin, as a son of Wincenty and Józefa née Rachubińska. At the age of 19, he entered the Jesuit Order in Stara Wieś near Brzozów. On June 2, 1895, he made his religious vows. In 1903, he moved to Kraków, where he worked with young people at the local Jesuit college and studied theology. He was ordained priest on April 14, 1906 in Kraków. Mieczysław Kuznowicz (1874-1945)…, s. 24. 339 Ksiądz Mieczysław Kuznowicz SJ (1874-1945) – wychowawca młodzieży i krzewiciel trzeźwości of the Union of Industrial and Handicraft Youth dedicated to St. Stanisława Kostka in Kraków, at which the Abstinence Center of the Youth Circle operated. He participated in anti-alcohol congresses, gave lectures on abstinence, supported young people in remaining sober from tobacco and alcoholic beverages. He died on March 26, 1945. He was buried in the cemetery in Nowy Sącz. In the 1963 exhumation Mieczysław Kuznowicz ramains were buried at the Rakowicki in Kraków.
