Summary/Abstract: This research is a qualitative study that was created to follow the original workshop process of the students of the Department of Painting and Crafts Education with arthrography, which is an art-based research method. The study group of the research was formed with the participation of 7 (6 female, 1 male) volunteer students who were studying in the 4th grade of a medium-sized university in the spring semester of the 2021-2022 academic year and took a master art workshop course. The study group of the research was selected by criterion (purposive) sampling. The data of the research were obtained from the photographs taken by the students during the A/r/tographic inquiry process, the life writings, the interviews and the artistic products that emerged at the end of the process. Descriptive analysis, which is qualitative data analysis, was used in the analysis of the data obtained as a result of life writings and interviews with students about the A/r/tographic process, which is an art-based research method. As a result of the art-based and application-based research, it has been revealed that the students' ability to perceive and make sense of the A/r/tographic process is a different and meaningful process for them. At the end of the process with interrogations, it was seen that the students were able to reflect the process on their original artistic works and express themselves with these products.
