Summary/Abstract: In today`s digital society, people`s activities are profoundly under transformation. New tasks related to technology appear in both work and private human`s lives and new types of relationship between humans and non - humans (technology) are developing. Both require new sociological understandings. Digital housework - the work required to maintain all digital tools surrounding us - is a such a new type of work, indispensable in our daily technologized lives. In this context, the purpose of this study is to map the new theoretical area so as to elucidate what is this new type of work - digital housework, and how it can be conceptualized and operationalized. A case study focussed on one particular type of digital housework will be also offered.
