Summary/Abstract: After the occupation of Romania in August 1944 by Soviet troops and after the establishment of the government of Dr. Peter Groza, a new political regime of popular democracy was gradually imposed by terror and fear. The monarchy was the last obstacle in the communization of Romania. The year 1948 was the consolidation of the communist regime through the elaboration and adoption of repressive legislation, and through the institutions of force: Security, Militia, Justice, penitentiary system, the elimination of political opponents began. As in other regions of the country, and in the former Roman county/district, the Security and the Militia with the support of party activists and informants produced fear and destroyed destinies. Among the security officers from Roman county/district, from the 50s , we mention Iosif Davidovici, Mircea Aramă, Pavel Constandache, Năstasă Pârvu, Gheorghe O. Constantininescu or the militia captain Costică Solomon.
