Summary/Abstract: This paper aims to briefly address the way in which eugenics has acted over time. Highly blamed after World War II, it is taking on new forms today. The premise from which is that man, created in the image of God, has always tried to reach the likeness of his Creator. Following the fall into sin, this search has shifted from the spiritual to the material realm, reflecting on the search for bodily perfection. The selection of people who deserve to live is still made today, just like in Antiquity, even if in a more masked way. Eugenic practices raise many questions about the human person and have special implications in the field of Moral Theology.
