Summary/Abstract: The provisions of art. II of the Government Emergency Ordinance no. 77/2018 for completing art. 67 of Law no. 317/2004 regarding the Superior Council of the Magistracy are not likely to give the Government a direct appointment competence in these positions, nor to give rise to legitimate doubts regarding the use of the prerogatives and functions of the Judicial Inspection as an instrument of pressure on the activity of judges and prosecutors or political control of this activity.
