Summary/Abstract: This paper examines the difference between having a clear and just set of family law regulations, and having access to justice. The removal of publicly funded legal help in the UK has seriously reduced access to justice in family matters. Government.s hopes that alternative dispute resolution and the provision of public information would solve the problem have not been fulfilled. We have good family law but little family justice.
