Summary/Abstract: The following study refers to the issue of education in the field of phoneme implementa­tion disorders, which is one of the important elements of the program of speech thera­py – postgraduate studies. The author refers to the contemporary knowledge about speech impediments, emphasizing the differences between the traditional and the new approach to this disorder. One also indicates new tasks that should be included in educational programs due to the presence of various information in the Internet – often inconsistent with the mod­ern knowledge embracing the management of dyslalia, as well as other problems related to, for example, different understanding of the interdisciplinary nature of speech therapy. Ad­ditionally the author analyses selected problems connected with the preparation of the ed­ucational program in the field of phoneme implementation disorders from the perspective of the expected features of the future speech therapist. The presented work is a voice in the discussion on the education of speech therapists in the field of dyslalia.
