SOCIO-PROFESSIONAL INTEGRATION OF PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES – FROM IDEAL TO REALITY

Summary/Abstract: The socio-professional integration of persons with disabilities is an important issue in the socio-economic and cultural context of post-decembrist Romania, a Romania that makes serious efforts to destroy such an economic barriers, cultural as well as social so that the individual, the citizen with disabilities, can enjoy equal rights and opportunities to ensure a life above the subsistence limit. I therefore consider speaking about the socio-professional integration of people with disabilities can and must bring into the collective mind of both the population in general, as well as professionals working in this vast domain, is a step forward towards normality. It's really possible to integration socio-professional the people with disabilities? There is a chain between theory and practice in this sector of activity? It is real ready the society to welcome people with disabilities in the middle of them? Here are just 3 questions that led to the „birth” of this small study, what can be the starting point in a broader and of course realistic debate.
