Summary/Abstract: The fact that we live in the century of high technology has already become a commonplace. Computers and the Internet are used in all spheres of human life including the educational system – the one that is of crucial importance for the functioning of our society since it lays its foundations. The aim of this article is to discuss the advantages and disadvantages of using latest technological achievements in one specific field of the education sphere – that of teaching Romanian as a foreign language. Our article underlines both positive and negative aspects of using modern technology for language learning. Last but not least, we shall point out what kinds of electronic means we use during our lessons, as well as those our students prefer after leaving the classroom.
