Summary/Abstract: The article proposes, through an extent analysis of the second edition of Istoria critică a literaturii române (The Critic History of Romanian Literature) by Nicolae Manolescu and by comparison to Istoria literaturii române de la origini până în prezent (The History of Romanian literature from origins to present times) by G. Călinescu, the identification of the system of establishing our literary canon. The critical rereading and signification of the literary works, the critical reception as well as the historiographical problematizing lead to a second discourse, a metaliterary and canonic discourse. Questioning the cultural code and the Perspective of the value of judgement are essential tools for the reading of such Histories of the entire Romanian literature.
