Summary/Abstract: The article deals with the war expedition of 1432 alleged to have been undertaken by the Prince of Opole, Bolko V. which has appeared recently in historical works. David Radek and Norbert Mika wrote about the military activities of the ruler of Głogówek. The latter historian presented a previously unknown picture of the fighting that took place in Upper Silesia in the period of 1428–1433. The basis for claims about the expedition by the heir to Opole in 1432 was a letter from the Prince of Oleśnica, Konrad the Younger, quoted from "Geschichtsquellen der Hussitenkriege". The author analyses this source, which is the basis for describing military campaigns in that year and points out that its publisher, Colmar Grünhagen, made a mistake in dating it. The mistake was noticed and corrected by the publisher himself in the same year in which the collection of sources with a letter from Konrad the Younger was published. However, it has been overlooked by some contemporary historians, who often created a fantastic image of the battles in Silesia in the first half of the 1430s. When confronting the letter with the so-called „Strzelin fragment”, the author concludes that it must have been written in 1430, in accordance with the correction made by C. Grünhagen. Maciej Woźny, Paweł Karp and Konrad Ziółkowski have adopted this date in their most recent works. The author concludes that the sources say nothing about an expedition of 1432, and that mention of this expedition is the product of an oversight by some scholars. The text closes with corrections and additions to the recently published itineraries of Bolko V, authored by David Radek.
