Summary/Abstract: The starting point of the research are narratives of women informants who experiencedthe end of the Second World War as children, or who were born during(or shortly after) the war. Analysis of their narratives shows that their assessmentof the groundbreaking historical events, which were also reflected in their socialor economic life and value system, are also conditioned by this early life experience.The generation, that experienced the onset of the era of normalization atthe peak of its middle-aged professional life (at the age of 30 to 40), criticallyassesses the socio-economical changes after 1989.
