Summary/Abstract: The impartiality of the judge is a fundamental characteristic of justice, the magistrate must act correctly and professionally in the judicial activity he carries out, be a vigilant person to avoid situations that may harm his spirit of objectivity through influences and various pressures exerted from inside or outside the legal act. However, it must be borne in mind that a judge is not constrained by his own values, experiences, concrete opinions and real beliefs regarding a given situation or legal provision. Bias is not just an opinion, it refers to the tendency to favor a certain situation or person.
