Summary/Abstract: Purpose – This study aims to analyze the data of bank financial factors that affect the stocks of deposit banks traded in Borsa Istanbul. Design/methodology/approach – In this research, the financial factors (Change in Bank's Short-Term Debt, Change in Interest Income, Change in Operating Profit, and Change in Operating Profit, and Changes in Assets) affecting the stocks of six deposit banks selected according to a certain size and partnership structure among the deposit banks operating in Turkey between the years 2012-2021 have been analyzed with the Dynamic Panel Data method.Findings – In this research, I found that the change in the short-term debt of the bank has an opposite and significant effect on the stock returns compared to the previous period, while the change in the asset volume and operating profit has the same directional and significant effect. As a result, it has been determined that the increase in short-term debts has a negative effect on the stock returns of the companies operating in the banking sector, while the increase in assets and operating profit has a positive effect. Discussion – In this research,I found that the stock returns of the deposit banks in Turkey and the financial factors, which we can call intra-bank factors, are sensitive to the changes in short-term debts, assets, and operating profit.
