Summary/Abstract: The report presents the results of the project KEGA 011PU-4/2018, which was implemented at the Faculty of Education of the University of Prešov in Prešov in the years 2018 – 2020/21, principal investigator was Mgr. Radoslav Rusňák, PhD. Topic of a lost, death and pain within a literature for children and young adults was significantly marginalized. Its tabooing comes from mistaken and socially stable idea that the topic of a death, lost and pain in a world of child is hurtful, traumatizing and not belonging in to educational process.Aim oft he project is to elaborate two supplemental learning source for primary school teachers, i.e. university textbook and multimedia DVD. The university textbook should offer innovative educational conceptionof the tabooing topics within the context of primary school level(while respecting the latest knowledgein the area of education on death and dying); multimedia DVD should be a continuing learning material, offering structured, audio-visually processed and didactically commented records from educational lessons in a form of practical examples from promising practice. Learning materials had an effort tofill up a vacuum, which has occurred in the educational space of primary education as the result of long-term tabooing and marginalization of the lost, death and pain topics within education of literary-educational disciplines. Starting point of project was, in addition to the latest knowledge in the professional discourse, also artistically convincing literary text form the authors of Slovak, Czech and world literature for children and young adults in Slovak translation, where there is the lost, death and pain topic thematised in artistically authentic portrayal, while respecting aspect of achild. Simultaneously, the project intention wasto introduce teachers with the possibilities of didacticallyqualified implementation of such unusual topic in the education of literary-educational disciplines, which still has in a focus a maturing child's personality, andopensto the teachers of primary educationyet ignored communication space at the same time.
