Summary/Abstract: In a world where information is all over the place and in which communication has a privileged role, being legitimate becomes vital for any type of discourse in the various spheres of exchange. We try during this work to focus on presidential legitimacy and the linguistic means that serve it in political discourse through the media relay. It seems relevant to us to return to the establishment of a legitimizing discourse and its discursive components. For this, we propose an analytical reading of the interview given by Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to the French newspaper "Le Point" in June 2021 in order to study the justifying discourse conveyed by the speaker through media issues
