Summary/Abstract: Our contribution focuses on teaching and evaluating the oral competence in an academic setting during the pandemic era. We suggest to carry out a comparative study on the teaching of the oral skill in the foreign language departments (French and English) at the Teacher Training College of Bouzareah (ENSB). Our main question would be: what is the reality of oralskill teaching and evaluation inforeign language departments at the time of COVID19?The present study is therefore part of university pedagogy and language teaching, it tries to combine two investigative tools, namely the questionnaire (50 students) and the interview with eight(8) teachers at the two departments cited above. The analysis of the results of the collected data shows that there have been major changes in teaching strategies and even in the teaching process and students' skills assessment . However, difficulties have been faced and recommendations are made to remedy them. We conclude our research paper with a presentation of the students' results in this module during the pandemic.
