Summary/Abstract: The presence of the Spanish language in Muslim lands is intended to be fundamental for a possible dialogue between civilizations and to create a bilateral benefit. Spanish as a foreign language is learned in Algeria and Morocco after refined training in standard Arabic and French in high school education, and ten English in secondary education. The following study aims to illustrate a historical ax soft the appearance of the Spanish language and its teaching in these two neighboring areas, since it was embedded by the Jewish families banishes from the Hispanic monarchy at the end the Middle Ages, until the restricted occupation of north Africa and the appearance of the Moorish minority in these two areas. Our specific objective is to recapitulate a general approach to the emergence of culture, from the Jaketia language to a rehespanization, while at the same time alluding to the current teaching of Spanish a foreign language, both in secondary and higher education. In this since, this project aims to provide a brief overview of the emergence of Spanish in the past and its teaching and learning in the present as a foreign language (ELE) in the two countries of Algeria and Morocco.
