Summary/Abstract: The development of mass media and the advancement of information technologies have brought along new artistic forms and ways of thinkingpractice in art, apart from the communicative capacity of computers and the internet. With the transformation of economic consumption into indicator consumption and cultural consumption, consumption has almost gained the feature of production. While consumption appears as a cultural phenomenon, culture in turn determines the structure of the consumer society. Thus, culture and consumption become concepts that are considered together. With the effect of globalization in contemporary art, phenomena such as the global circulation of art, the commercialization of the art market, and the commodification of the work of art are reflected in the forms of expression of art. In the study, the relationship between art and globalization is analyzed; How it is articulated to the phenomenon of globalization as "contemporary art", its relations, its interaction with globalization, how it is reflected, what tools it uses, the view of the opposition artists in art to globalization is examined.
