Summary/Abstract: The author presents the biography of Jerzy Tumaniszwili, an admiral and publicist. The article describes his military career, with a particular emphasis on the Second World War period. After the war Tumaniszwili found himself in the UK. There he took up journalism. Although he married a British woman, he felt in England like a stranger. It was the main reason why he decided to leave for the United States, where he settled down and continued writing.
