Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article is to verify the real application of the classic Rochdale Principles of Cooperation in the current activities of Polish food cooperatives. On the basis of an ordered logit model, factors that have a significant impact on the applicability of the above-mentioned principles had been identified. The author's participating observations and literature research allowed for the formulation of a research question with a historical and organizational dimension. The empirical part of this study had been prepared on the basis of data collected via the survey. Synthetic conclusions have been formulated using quantitative analysis methods.
