Summary/Abstract: The formation of internationally unrecognized (Transnistria) or quasi-recognized (Kosovo) state entities was accompanied by conflicts, economic blockades, political confrontations and other consequences, the effect of which is still visible today. One of these effects is the problem of free movement of means of transport. At the same time, it should be noted that both the Transnistrian region and Kosovo are a direct consequence of the various armed confrontations carried out in the last decade of the 20th century. There is a whole set of factors that largely differentiate the Transnistrian case from the Kosovar case. These factors, of an ideological, ethnic and political nature, have an influence on the process of regulating relations between the parties, including the issue of the free movement of means of transport. In this way, the article proposes an analysis of the problem of the free circulation of means of transport in the Transnistrian and Kosovar case.
