Summary/Abstract: The paper presents fourteen letters of Milan Đ. Milićević addressed to the Russian historian Nil Alexandrovich Popov, written in the period from 1867 to 1877. The edited correspondence portrays the relationship of the two intellectuals, political situation in Serbia, the organization of the Ethnographic Exhibition and the Second Slavic Congress in Moscow, and the attempt to organize a Slavic Congress in Belgrade, including the education of Serbian scholars in Russia. The correspondence represents a kind of contribution to the study of the history of Serbian-Russian relations during the seventh and eighth decades of the 19th century, and is deposited within Nil Alexandrovich Popov’s personal fund in the Scientific-Research Department of the Russian State Library of Moscow.
