Summary/Abstract: The main focus of the study develops around the influences of American culture and literature on the poetry of the ‘80ist Literary Movement in Romania, by highlighting the symbolic use of the so-called “prohibited objects” – consumer goods, mostly imported items, but also prohibited cultural goods ranging from music to works of various authors.
