Summary/Abstract: This article presents the cognitive synthetic definition of the concept of MOTHERLAND according to the methodology of Lublin Cognitive Ethnolinguistics. In addition, the author briefly mentions the other six principles adopted by this school in the ethnolinguistic analysis of certain concepts. The proposed cognitive definition is part of a larger study on this concept undertaken under the EUROJOS project.
