Summary/Abstract: The Jaka Tingkir folklore is a form of Javanese culture that is popular in Sragen Regency, Central Java Province, Indonesia. UNESCO has recognized this folklore as Indonesian culture and has good value so that people can use it as a means of character building. This research aimed to describe the heroic values in the folklore of Jaka Tingkir. This research was a research with a folklore approach. This research consisted of two data sources. Muhammad Aziz, Suparno, Andun Jailani, and Iswahyudi as verbal data and primary data sources. The Central Java Folklore Jaka Tingkir, the epic novel Jaka Tingkir: Jalan Berliku Menjemput Wahyu, and Babad Demak 2 as written data and secondary data sources. I used purposive sampling as the sample selection. Data collection methods in this research, namely narrative interviews for verbal data and literature studies for written data. The validity of the data was source triangulation. Data analysis methods, namely functional analysis and document analysis. The results of this research are the heroic values of Jaka Tingkir's character, namely good morals, willing to sacrifice, defend the country, discipline, never give up, courageous, honesty, responsibility, confidence, and leadership. Living things, such as animals and humans can implement these values in life. These values can be addressed to one and more than one person. I examined these heroic values because having these values is useful as a means of character building in today's society.
