Summary/Abstract: The article presents death as a phenomenon of life. From the point of view of philosophy, the topic of death is particularly significant as it allows to understand the essence of being and the meaning of life. It is argued that death gives meaning to human life. Emphasis is placed on the problem of existential fear of death and on the prerequisites for its occurrence.
