Summary/Abstract: Nowadays, design has became a basic need to make life easier in many areas, to provide visual aesthetics and to communicate. In this study, the poster designs prepared for the performances of the State Opera and Ballet were examined, and the design elements of the posters (color, image, hierarchy, balance, line, form, contrast, emphasis, movement, repetition, negative space) were evaluated. Visual (formal) analysis method was used in the study. The study is limited to the posters of the State Opera and Ballet from 2011 to the present. The posters from 2011 to the present were examined and the design elements were evaluated by choosing 3 posters randomly from each year. It has been observed that line and repetition elements are not used frequently in poster designs. In the poster designs that have been examined since 2019, it has been seen that a single design has been continued and typography has come to the forefront rather than visuality.
