Summary/Abstract: Seyyid Mahammadhuseyn Shahriyar (1906-1988), who is considered one of the most powerful personalities of 20th century Azerbaijani literature, is first and foremost a patriotic, freedom-loving poet. When we pay attention to the works written by the immortal master both in Persian and in his native language, we see that the main features of Shahriyar's poetry are naturalness, sincerity, patriotism, and national fanaticism, feelings of belonging to national values, memory and homeland. These features make the pearls of art created by the skillful master actual even today. It is no coincidence that we chose the topic of letters and dedications in Mahammadhuseyn Shahriyar’s works in his native language as the object of research. Because, in the study of any artist's literary activity, artistic biography and idea-artistic features of his works, his correspondences with different artists, scientists, colleagues, and the dedications he wrote to them play an important role. Our goal is to analyze the poet's work in his native language in this direction and convey its artistic value to the modern reader. It should be noted that the issues touched upon by the poet Mahammadhuseyn Shahriyar are actual even today. The attitude of our southern neighbor towards Azerbaijan, in the second decade of the 21st century, strict prohibitions against our compatriots living in South Azerbaijan in their native language make Shahriyar's creativity more important for today.
