Summary/Abstract: It is possible to say that the situation of Azerbaijani literature at the beginning of the 20th century is one of its turning points. In this period, the effects of two important literary movements - realism and romanticism predominate in Azerbaijani literature. The socio-political events of the period, the peripheral politics of the Russian tsarism, ignorance and lack of education were the main themes of the works written. The literary writers of this period were criticizing ignorance in the subjects they dealt with and calling for the people to be educated. Abbas Sıhhat, one of the leading poets of the period, created a unique style in Azerbaijani literature with the works he wrote. He wrote works in almost all literary genres and made a significant contribution to the development of Azerbaijani literature. One of the representatives of the Romantic movement, Sıhhat wrote various works on homeland, nation and social issues, expressed the value of the land he lived in in his poems, and always called the people to "wake up". Sıhhat, who saw how the situation of the people was heavy in the period he lived, succeeded in reflecting his good days to come in his dreams. The works presented to our literature by poets and writers, who are representatives of the romanticism and realism movement, are the first examples for Azerbaijani literature according to some aspects. Abbas Sıhhat stated the gaps in the socio-cultural life of the nation by writing poems of condolence that Mirze Elekber Sabir brought to Azerbaijani literature for the first time. In this study, the condolences of Abbas Sıhhat were subjected to literary and author-oriented criticism, at the same time, information and results about condolences, its history, its development in Abbas Sıhhat pen, and Abbas Sıhhat's use of condolence examples by giving a new shape to the type of condolence are given.
