Summary/Abstract: The article addresses the issue of normative conflicts from the theoretical perspective of philosophy of values and socio-cultural anthropology and in the context of the current culture wars in Western societies, instigated by radical ideologies that colonize all spheres of life, reversing normative axiological hierarchies and thus causing anthropological, societal and epistemic upheavals. Their sources and manifestations are described and certain paradigmatic effects on humanistic knowledge, language and literature are analyzed.
