Summary/Abstract: One of the technical student’s challenges when learning English for Specific Purposes (ESP) is to deliver a presentation in this foreign language on a technical subject. The present paper, far from being exhaustive research of the matter, regards the problems a student at the Technical University in Cluj faces when having to communicate in the form of a presentation. These problems include lack of self-confidence with its consequences, body language, (mis)use of software (mainly PowerPoint), and the unclear structure of information to be presented. As the students’ level of language is upper intermediate, we can focus on solving the previously mentioned problems during the weekly 2-hour seminar. This article will also include some solutions that have been found and used in the case of the students with difficulties in presenting.
