Summary/Abstract: The phenomenon of crime, which emerged with humanity's taking its place on the stage of history, is a situation that will continue as long as people continue to exist on this stage. Crime is a concept that is always up-to-date from past to present, affects societies, and engages the public authority, especially in reducing or preventing this phenomenon. The phenomenon of crime has been dealt with by many scientific disciplines in the historical process. Crime is viewed from the perspective of biological and psychological and sociological theories as well as individual theories. Social process theories are theories that suggest that crime is transmitted from one generation to another in a society, from one group to another through learning. In this research, 'social process theories', one of the sociological crime theories developed for crime, is approached from a theoretical perspective. The study focuses on social process theories which include social learning theories, differential association theories, neutralization techniques and social control theories.
