Summary/Abstract: Cadaloz newspaper is a comic newspaper, issued by Nureddin Rüştü and Haydar Rüştü in 1911. The Paper, though it is a cartoon issued twice in a week during six months deal with social, fiscal and politics of the Ottoman state. Cadaloz Paper, as it can be referred from the name owns a women typology, named Cadaloz (Old Git). Cadaloz women typology came to life as a main character within the cartoons of the magazine and also within the comic story of Cadaloz Paper named “Çan Çan” (Dirty Gossip). As a matter of fact that the Cadaloz is a national figure but we all know her from the shadow-cartoon as a though women who never hesitate to tell the truth in the way of stubborn character. In this study, having considered the Cadaloz the idea of how a woman took her place in the Ottoman cartoon would be developed. It is also possible to be witnessed that the woman along with the main character, Cadaloz depicted in the journal as mother, slag woman, looser woman, stubborn woman, concubine etc. Therefore we can the opportunity to observe the different status of a woman in Ottoman society.
