Summary/Abstract: Nicolae „Nicu” N. Ceaușescu was the youngest son of Nicolae and Elena Ceaușescu, leaders of the Romanian Communist Party from the 1960s until the Revolution of December, 1989. Born in 1951, he was given important political position within the State and the Communist Party, whus projecting him as the natural successor of his parents in what could have been the only case of „dynastic Communism” in Europe. Nicu Ceaușescu’s political career ended abruptly at the end of 1989, after the fall of the regime and the execution of his family. He died in 1996.
