Summary/Abstract: The presented in the article feminist analysis of Stanisław Grzesiuk nazi labour camp memories Pięć lat kacetu focuses on the question of body. While the patriarchal language with its symbolic function is presented as a property of oppressors, Grzesiuk’s narration is seen though a communicative function of “the captive body”. The usage of a body as the main medium of communication explains, in turn, the narrator’s nonjudgmental view on homosexuality in Gusen and other concentration camps. Additionally, various feminist and post-feminist notions are used to analyze Grzesiuk’s view on the nature of homosexual relationships in the camps, and by the same token, the article also tests the possibility of using notions of black and heterosexual feminisms and queer theory for analysis of literature of Holocaust.
