Summary/Abstract: Throughout history people have always believed that they live in unprecedented, extraordinary times. And as is evident from the written sources that have been preserved, these changes were an important enough topic at that time so as to be recorded by the scribes of the time. The aim of this paper is to analyse the ancient literary sources that discuss climate change and the perception that contemporary people had on it. The sources analysed, cover the period between the first and seventh century A.D. in the Carpathian Danubian Pontic space.
