The right of way of a pedestrian entering a pedestrian crossing. Legal Analysis

Summary/Abstract: The paper presents a legal interpretation of the new regulation of the Polish Act on Road Traffic which gives pedestrians a right-of-way on their entering a pedestrian crossing. It was stated that ”entering” a pedestrian crossing cannot be equated with the physiological movement of the human body, which is reduced to lifting its leg over the edge of the road. “Entering” a pedestrian crossing must be understood as an objective process which can sometimes start at some distance away from the edge of the road.
