Summary/Abstract: Vehicle braking process with the front or rear axle wheels locking was analysed. The range of vehicle deceleration during braking while leaving traces of the tires on the surface was specified. The introduction of a correction coefficient which takes account of the possibility of incomplete use of the braking force by the rear or front axle of the vehicle was proposed.
