Summary/Abstract: The global society we live in has long since changed a number of once dominant categories of life and regular functioning within it. Therefore, some old security paradigms in the modern continuously evolving and changing security environment have simply become insufficient and dysfunctional, and it is necessary to refresh, supplement and change them in terms of content, organization and functionality. In the same way, life under the auspices of the crisis has become everyday and reality, and less and less an exception. We cannot avoid crises or completely eliminate them, but we can make adequate predictions and plan measures and actions to minimize their effects and establish a regular situation as quickly as possible after each individual crisis. Without going into the overall scope and dimension of planning (response to crisis situations) from the strategic to the lowest micro-locational level, from recent practice we can come to certain insights about the effectiveness of the aforementioned responses to crisis situations, as well as a whole series of possible improvements within them. It is precisely in this context that the paper analyzes the issues of possible integration of the private protection sector into the overall operational-functional response to a potential crisis situation.
