Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article is to discuss two analogically constructed words "babiniec" and "chłopiniec" functioning with different meanings in dialects and in contemporary general Polish. The history of both words is presented, their territorial range, the degree of their lexicographic documentation, their meanings and development in various varieties of the Polishlanguage (dialects and general Polish).
