Summary/Abstract: The article examines the failed legislative approach in repealing the requirementfor the prosecutor to read the indictment at the beginning of the judicial investigation ingeneral offence cases. An analysis of the case law and a comparative legal analysis with theprocedural laws of other countries has been made. The conclusions are related to the needfor legislatiwe consolidation of criteria for stating significant details of the accusation.
