Summary/Abstract: The quality of working conditions of teachers in schools is one of the factors that have a major impact on the attractiveness of the teaching profession on the labour market. Together with the poor remuneration and social recognition of teachers' work, the low quality of working conditions has a direct impact not only on the decline in the attractiveness of the teaching profession, but also on the increasing disinterest of young people in studying teaching and becoming a teacher in the future. In this study, in addition to the analysis of current sources (e.g., Schleicher, 2018; Price, Weatherby, 2018; Przybysz-Zaremba, Stepaniuk, and Szczygieł, 2020), we also use the analysis of existing research data, statistics, as well as the findings of our own survey among teachers, pedagogical and professional staff. We compare selected parameters of teachers' work environment with the findings of our survey and put them in context with the available findings of existing research on the current state of the teaching profession. The study is survey and empirical in nature.
