Summary/Abstract: In 1929, in a total of 13 pages, the legend of the Greek princess Antola is included in N. Kanev’s book ‘Popovo – the town and its surrounding lands’. Four years later, he reworks it in a book of 175 pages and has it printed under a new title – ‘An Ancient Legend, One Song and Eternal Love’. The following work looks into the topic of metamorphosis of the ‘regional’ legend into an ‘ancient’ one.
