Summary/Abstract: Szymborska redefines the notion of affective philosophy in the context of children studies. How does an affective perspective on talking about the child redefine the questions onwhich the discourse is founded? In what way does the child impact the reconfigurationof concepts in selected research perspectives (e.g. Hannah Arendt, Gilles Deleuze, FélixGuattari, Jean-François Lyotard)? The point of departure in defining a greater subjectivityof children in postmodern discourse is what is called affective scientism. It emphasisesthe emotional relationship with the child, the child’s particularism and the mental, immanent structure of the speaking subject. This type of meaning-making opensthe discourse to the possibility of a posthermeneutic theory of circulation which, forSzymborska, is based on the operational dynamics of the Deleuzian rhizome.
