Summary/Abstract: The article contains two major parts. The fi rst one presents the topic of organizational culture research. Тhe second part describes the scope, goals and results analysis of an empirical study of the current and ideal cultural norms and expectation in „Training and Development“ department of a bank operating on the Bulgarian market, conducted using an adapted version for Bulgarian conditions of Organizational Culture Inventory (OCI), developed by Human Synergistics International. Description of the inventory and Human Synergistics’ basic theoretical model for organizational culture, are presented.
